The kids had a great time creating their own masterpieces. The adults learned how to Bonsai. And a truckload of tomato plants are now growing in a back yard near you!

It is set for Saturday, June 28 from 10:30 am to 1 pm at Meyer Park in Glenmoor.
 
This happening will give people a chance to get together and exchange plants, fruit and gardening tips with all who participate. Do you have a plant you don't want any more? Bring it to the "exchange" and see if someone might like to take it home. You might just find a different one you like, too. Also, bring along some of your backyard-grown fruit for sharing or exchange.
 
This promises to be an enjoyable gathering. There is no charge to attend. By the way, there will be some plants and flowers available for purchase, too, and the prices promise to be better than anywhere else. Put it on your calendar now and well see you there. Pass the word!

It was a huge success and all of us at CBCA deserve a standing ovation for our accomplishment.
 
The 2-day event that saw CBCA involvement rise from a slow Waltz to a fierce Tango had the following results:
 
We raised over $5,000 in donations and gifts. Another $2,000 was donated for prizes to the performers. Over 320 students participated. Four area schools are guaranteed of having a music program for 2008-09.
 
Thanks again to everyone who made a donation, worked as a volunteer and helped to promote the show. We have lots of requests to do it all again next year. It looks like we've established another annual CBCA-sponsored event.
